Girl Scouting builds girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place.

Girl Scouts of Utah was founded in 1920 in Ogden, Utah and is the organization of choice for girls in grades K-12. With the support of positive volunteer role models, Girl Scouts is recognized as the leader in innovative development programs for girls and young women.

Girl Scouts of Utah currently impacts the lives of over 8,000 girls and 3,500 adult volunteers annually. Each year, our members provide well over 500,000 hours of service throughout the state. Girl Scouts embraces Utah's cultural, religious, and ethnic diversity and welcomes all girls and families to participate. Girl Scouts of Utah is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that relies on generous financial gifts from individuals, foundations, and corporations. Gifts of support at all levels are welcomed.

Our Promise to Girls

Girl Scouting gives every girl access to life-changing experiences that inspire her to do great things. That every girl of this generation will reach her full potential; wherever she lives, whatever challenges face her, however great the journey to what she can become.

Leadership Experiences are what Make Girl Scouts Unique

Girl Scouts provides girls with more ways to learn and lead than any other organization. Leadership is not only about acquiring skills; it's about how girls use those skills to make the world a better place.

The Girl Scout Leadership Experience is an integrated approach and gives girls the confidence, life skills, and experience they need to make a difference.

Service is at the Heart of the Girl Scout Experience

At the very core of our programs are the Girl Scout Leadership Awards; Bronze, Silver, and Gold. Girls create their own personalized leadership journey through self-improvement, skill development, career exploration, and by improving their communities through service.

The Girl Scout Gold Award is the highest and most prestigious award in Girl Scouts. Earned by only 5-6% of Girl Scouts nationally, this award is for girls grades 9-12. Most recipients enjoy greater access to scholarships, internships, and community awards.
