Cinnamon Grilled Pound Cake with Fresh Peaches and Brown Sugar Ice Cream

Brown Sugar Ice Cream

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup chilled whole milk
  • 1 cup chilled cream
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup Turbinado Raw Sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla

Method:

In a medium sized bowl whisk together cream, sour cream, brown sugar, turbinado sugar, and vanilla. Stir in milk. Pour into an ice cream maker and freeze according to manufacturer's instructions.

Makes 1 1/2 quarts

Cinnamon Grilled Pound Cake and Fresh Peaches

Ingredients:

  • 1 loaf Vanilla pound cake sliced into 1/2 inch slices
  • 2-3 tbsp melted butter
  • Cinnamon and sugar
  • 3-4 peaches, peeled, pitted and thinly sliced

Method:

Heat grill to medium low heat. Brush open side of pound cake lightly with butter, sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar, and place on grill. Cook until lightly toasted.

To assemble:

Place grilled pound cake on individual serving plates. Arrange sliced peaches over the top, and finish with a scoop of ice cream.
Serve immediately.
