Bacon Broccoli Salad

Bacon Broccoli Salad


  • 6 cups fresh broccoli, coarsely chopped
  • 2/3 cups real bacon bits
  • 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 large red onion, chopped
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2/3 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice


In a large bowl, toss broccoli, bacon, cheese, and onion. In a separate bowl, combine vinegar, sugar, pepper, salt, mayonnaise, and lemon juice. Mix dressing into salad. Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve. Makes 6-8 servings.

Options: Add 2/3 cup raisins, craisins, or sunflower seeds to salad. Substitute 10-12 slices of bacon, cooked and crumbled, in place of real bacon bits, if desired.
