Grilled Pizza

The whole family is happy when they can make their own designer pizza.

Stacy Springer shares a pizza recipe you make on the grill.

Grilled Pizza Dough


  • 14g or 2 Packets Instant dry Yeast
  • 1 ½ C Warm Water
  • 2 T Sugar
  • 2 t Kosher Salt
  • ¼ C Olive Oil
  • 4 C Flour

Savory Toppings


  • 6 oz Deli Ham
  • 1 C. Grated Parmigiano-Reggiano
  • 2 T Tomato Paste
  • 1 t Lemon Zest
  • 2 oz Fresh Basil

Sweet Toppings


  • 8 oz Cream Cheese
  • 4 T Sugar
  • 2 T Cocoa Powder
  • 12 oz Mixed berries
  • ¼ C Mini Chocolate Chips


1) Mix yeast and water in small bowl. Let stand 5 minutes or until frothy.

2)Place sugar, oil and yeast mixture together in mixing bowl.

3) Add Flour and Salt and mix until sticky ball is formed.

4) Oil a large bowl and add dough to bowl. Cover and let sit at room temperature for 1 ½ hours or until doubled in size.

5) Preheat grill to 500 degrees F.

6) Dust surface with flour and portion out pizza in two even pieces or 10 even balls for mini pizzas.

7) Roll into desired shape.

8) Brush both sides of dough with olive oil.

9) Place on heated grill each side 1-2 minutes.

10) Remove from grill and place on cookie sheet.

11) Place sauce and toppings on grilled pizza.

12) Place cookie sheet with pizzas on it back into the grill and cook until cheese/chocolate are melted, about 5 minutes.
