Candy Corn Soap

You make these using the old Tupperware Popsicle molds which you can find on E-Bay.

YOU WILL NEED:

-clear and opaque Melt and Pour soap base

-yellow and orange liquid color

-Sunshine Yellow Sparkles

-candy corn scent (if you can find it) or another sweet scent like almond—Just make sure you don’t use one with lots of vanilla in that may discolor your soap.

-witch hazel

-rubbing alcohol

-a tiny spray bottle

-an old Tupperware Popsicle mold.

HOW TO:

Set the molds in the tray that comes with them, open side up. If you have or get a set with out a tray, you can use a little Dixie cup to hold them up.melt about 4 ounces of the opaque soap. After it is melted, add fragrance to it. Let it cool for about 5 minutes. Pour an equal amount of the soap into each mold. If bubbles occur, spritz with rubbing alcohol to get rid of them.

Next, melt about 4 oz of clear soap with just a tiny, tiny amount of opaque soap base. (This will give you a more opaque look but still keep your color vibrant.) Add fragrance and 5-8 drops of the orange liquid color.Suspend a small amount of the yellow sparkles in some liquid glycerin and then stir into the orange soap. Spritz the first layer of soap that you poured with witch hazel. (This will keep your layers from separating.) Pour an equal amount of the soap into each of the molds.Spritz with rubbing alcohol to dissipate bubbles if needed.

Finally, melt about 4 more ounces of clear soap base with just a tiny, tiny amount of opaque soap. Add 5-8 drops of the yellow liquid colorand 1 scoop of yellow sparkles suspended in liquid glycerin. Then add your fragrance. Let it cool for about 5 minutes. Spritz the first layer of soap that you poured with witch hazel. Pour an equal amount of the soap into each mold. Spritz with rubbing alcohol to dissipate bubbles if needed.
After about 20 minutes, put the soap in the freezer. After about 2 hours, remove from the freezer and unmold.

Fancy Liquid Hand Soap~

These are so great looking! The idea is to pick a theme, put add-ins like silk flowers, toys, beads or shells in the bottle, and then fill the bottle with uncolored liquid hand soap.

You’ll Need:

1 ¼ c Super Concentrate

32 oz DISTILLED water (tap water will give it a cloudy look

1 tsp aloe vera powder (opt)
fragrance

8 oz or 4 oz clear bottles
pumps

silk flowers, toys, shells, beads or other items that are small enough to fit in the bottles.

Measure out your water. If you are adding aloe powder, very slowly stir the aloe powder in to the water. Add just a tiny bit at a time so it won’t clump. When aloe is mixed in add the super concentrate to the mixture. Use a stick blender to completely mix the super concentrate in. It will not look clear because you are putting thousands of bubbles into the mixture but after it sits for several hours it will clear. You can divide your batch into different scents or scent the batch all the same. If you want it all the same stir in 1/2 tsp of scent. If you want different scents, you’ll need 20 to 30 drops per every 9 oz.

Put your add-ins into your bottles and then after your hand soap has cleared, pour it into the bottles.

I use clear mailing labels on mine. Since they are small and clear, they don’t detract from the look of the bottle.

Spooky Critter Soaps

YOU WILL NEED:

-clear Melt and Pour soap base

-embeddable toys like our stretchy spiders

-a non-browning fragrance.

-witch hazel

-rubbing alcohol

-a tiny spray bottle

-a simple mold like the Milkyway 4 in 1 shapes mold

Slowly melt about 4 oz of clear soap. Add fragrance. Fill the mold cavity about half way full of soap. Spritz with rubbing alcohol to get rid of any bubbles you layer has almost set up, spritz it with witch hazel(this will keep your layers from separating) and then put your toy face down on the soap. Spoon a small amount of soap over toy to hold it in place and then let it set for about 5 minutes. Spritz with witch hazel, then fill your mold with more melted soap.Spritz with rubbing alcohol to dissipate bubbles if needed.

Candy Corn Bath Salts

These are sooooo easy! Put colored layers of salt into a small cello bag and shape the bag and salts into a triangle, attach a stretchy spider to the top and you have a darling package that looks like you spent hours on it.

WHAT YOU NEED:

-1lb sea salt

-orange and yellow liquid color

-small cello bags

-candy corn scent (if you can find it) or another sweet scent like almond—Just make sure you don’t use one with lots of vanilla in that may discolor your soap.

2 cookie sheets

wax paper

Divide your salt into thirds. Take 1 third and scent it but don’t add color to it. Set it aside.
Take another third and scent it and color it orange. Spread the salt that you have colored out to dry on a cookie sheet that has been covered with wax paper.
Take the last third and scent it and color it yellow.
Spread those salts out to dry on the other cookie sheet that has been covered with wax paper. After the salt is dry, layer the salt in the cello bags, first orange, white and then yellow.
Then just shape the salts in the bag so they form a triangle. Seal the bag with a twist tie or tape and attach a stretcy spider.

Make sure you label the soap clearly so that it doesn’t get eaten =)
