Your overnight guests will want to come back again and again!
Whether you’re planning on guests for Easter, or a few spring break visitors, this season brings plenty of reasons to open up your home! But hosting overnight guests is more than just providing a place to sleep. You want to offer an inviting space that makes friends feel welcome.
Becky Higgins has a few small details to make a big impact on your guests’ experience. She shared three specific ways to turn your guest space into a cozy retreat without a major makeover!
Be Proactive
- Have extra towels, throws, and pillow on hand.
- Stock the bathroom with essentials and toiletries they can use as needed.
- Have extra phone chargers available.
- Post the Wi-Fi password somewhere so they can get online without needing to ask.
Be Fun With the Details
- Create a welcome vignette with a sign, treat, and/or seasonal décor.
- Fill a welcome basket with snacks, water bottles, and an eye mask.
- Put fresh flowers by the bed.
- Add a personalized message or note.
Be Intentional
- Plan ahead for food, considering any dietary needs.
- Plan for un-rushed time to sit and visit with your guests.
