Pull out your scrapbooking supplies… this hobby is popular again!
We are celebrating the revival of so-called “grandma hobbies.” A new generation is getting hands-on with arts and crafts and discovering the contentment that comes from being creative.
We used to go to specialty stores for the paper, scissors, stickers and glue, but those retail locations are few and far between now. Studio 5 Creative Editor Jill Brodbent shared where you can now get your scrapbooking supplies.
Retail
Hobby Lobby and Michaels do carry scrapbooking supplies. The selection of papers and embellishments are limited, but for basics, you can shop there.
Scrapbook.com is the best resource for all thing scrapbooking. They carry the widest array of products from almost all brands, and they offer a very robust line of their own branded products.
Subscriptions
Hip Kit Club is a great option for getting a monthly shipment of fun, fresh products. They are curated and themed and their own exclusive designs.
Ali Edwards Designs offers many different project kits. The subscription option ships quarterly and make it easy to document your stories with her fresh, clean, and colorful exclusive products.
Direct Sales
Creative Memories and Stampin’ Up! are great options for scrapbooking supplies. You can order through a consultant – usually directly on their websites, and if you’re looking for like-minded friends, many have monthly workshops and classes available as well to connect you with a community of scrapbookers.
