4 Gardening Trends for 2022

Embrace the natural world instead of removing it

Re-wilding is a hot word in the horticulture world right now. Re-establish wild spaces where nature can thrive right in your landscape

Jewel toned gardens

Royal Horticultural Society predicts that show stopping, daring, and bold-colors are expected to be in for 2022. Add to your containers or borders: deeply colored plants in tones of purple, magenta, deeply colored pinks and orange. You want a vibrant blend that stands proud against a cascade of green foliage

Add some show-stopping cutting flowers like Dahlias to the garden

Dahlias are a great option. These flowers provide a full season of spectacular bloom to the garden and can be planted in borders, mixed in the vegetable garden, or in containers

Grow your own

There has never been a better time to grow your own vegetables, especially as costs have increased. There are easy to grow plants such as green beans, peas, radishes, lettuces, Swiss chard, zucchini, and cucumbers. You do not need to have a large garden, many crops can be grown in patio containers and just need full sun. This is a great way to contribute to the food supply and contribute to your health and well-being.
