Steve Carter, VP of Sales at Carhartt, talks about the Grand open of the new Carhartt store in Murray.
Carhartt, the well-respected manufacturer of premium outerwear and work wear, will open its first brand-only retail store in Utah – its second in the United States – at Fashion Place Plaza in Murray, Utah.
“Utah was chosen primarily because of the state’s stunning four seasons, world-class skiing and families who enjoy an active outdoor lifestyle in both their work and leisure,” said Mark Valade, CEO of Carhartt. “Carhartt products are designed exactly with this in mind and we look forward to having a greater presence here. Our company mission has always been to deliver exceptional rugged apparel and footwear. We believe that this launch will build awareness of Carhartt’s products and increase sales for other retailers carrying the brand,” Valade further adds.
Carhartt will officially open its store, located at 116 East Winchester in the Fashion Place Plaza across from the Fashion Plaza Mall on Tuesday, November 23 at noon with festivities including a ribbon cutting with the Murray Chamber of Commerce, Murray Mayor Dan Snarr, the Utah National Guard and “rivalry week” events highlighting the big game between the University of Utah and BYU..
The 5,000 square foot store will carry over 10,000 Carhartt items exclusive to the Carhartt brand for men, women, and kids. The broad product offering will include Carhartt’s traditional outerwear pieces, jeans, pants, shirts, sweats, tees, accessories and footwear.
Expect to find many of Carhartt’s most popular and iconic products including the Detroit Jacket offered in Carhartt’s traditional duck and sandstone fabrics, the all-new Series 1889 denim collection for men which offers the active consumer a jean with contemporary fits and washes, classic fleece items, hoodies, hats, heavy-duty socks, gloves, thermal apparel, comfortable and durable workwear, and so much more.
