Dessert just seems sweeter when it’s served in a jar! Try this simple, no-bake recipe from Wendy Paul’s newest cookbook, 101 No-Bake Desserts in a Jar.
Cookies and Cream in a Jar
2- 8 oz. pkg cream cheese, soft
1 c. heavy cream
1 c. powdered sugar
1 t. vanilla extract
2 c. crushed chocolate sandwich cookies
1 recipe Chocolate Cookie Crust (below)
Whole chocolate sandwich cookies for garnish
Whipped Cream for garnish
Cream together cream cheese, heavy cream and powdered sugar until light and fluffy.
Fold in your crushed sandwich cookies. Layer your cookie crust, tapping down to make an even layer then top with your cookies and cream mixture. Repeat layers if desired. Garnish with a whole sandwich cookie, or Whipped Cream.
Chocolate Cookie Crust
2 c. chocolate sandwich cookies, crushed
6-7 T melted butter
Mix together all ingredients until a thick paste forms. Scoop mixture evenly into your
jars, tapping down to make the crust even and desired thickness. Place the jars into
the freezer for 15 minutes to firm up.(optional)
