Darin Engh with Engh gardens shows us pumpkins that will liven up your pumpkin patch and a tool that will make cleaning your jack-o-lanterns much more exciting!

Engh Gardens has some one-of-a-kind pumpkins that will brighten up your home and your holiday meals this fall!

Jarrahdale – Australian blue group, rind is blue green in color and the flesh is a brilliant orange. Best use: decorative, table vegetable.

Red Warty Thang – A sight to behold-good eating too. Bumpy intense orange color with intense brilliant orange flesh. A cross between an American Turban and Hubbard. Best use: decorative, table vegetable.

Zucca Barucca – Green warts and boils like a witch’s face. Looks like a geode when cut in cross-section and scooped out. Great for minestrone and risotto as well as ravioli. Unripe fruit can be used in relishes.

Best use: decorative, table vegetable.

Lumina – white with intense brilliant orange flesh. Best use: jack-o’-lanterns.

Cheese Wheels – long-lasting loveliness, light burnt sienna in color, dense raw sienna flesh, very graceful lines, flat.

Cinderella – enchanting, dense brilliant orange inside and out. Best use: decorative
