Find Ways to Simplify: Makeup Bag

Studio 5 contributor Courtney Orton recently found her overloaded makeup bag in need of an overhaul and she asked professional makeup artist Jennessa Herde to help her Find Ways to Simplify it.

Jennessa’s tip is to find products with multiple purposes. There are tons of products out there. They come in every shape and in every size. One of Jennessa’s favorites is a palette from Colorescience that can do multiple things. “You have a highlighter. You have a concealer. You can do a natural eye. You could just do one color. You just have a lot of options,” says Jennessa.

The big question though, is how do you incorporate those products into a simpler routine. We all have different routines, so Jennessa helps us divide up the essentials by time constraint: 5 minutes, 15 minutes, and 30 minutes.
