Ham & Brie Bread Casserole


6-8 slices ry bread, cut into cubes (about 6 cups)
2 cups diced cooked ham (about a pound)
2 medium pears, peeled, cored, diced
1/4 cup sliced green onions (about 1 bunch)
8 ounces Brie cheese, cut into cubes
2 eggs
2 cups milk
1/4 teaspoon salt

Combine bread cubes, ham, pears, onions, and cheese. Arrange in a buttered 9×13 inch
baking pan.

Beat together eggs, milk, and salt. Drizzle milk mixture over bread mixture. Using the back of
a spoon, gently press bread into milk (not all bread will be submerged in milk). Bake at 350
degrees for 45 minutes or until done.

Serve with fresh fruit.

the longer they sit after being cut before being baked. To somewhat prevent this darkening,
dip cubed pears in pineapple juicem orange juice, or a commercial fresh fruit solution. Be sure
to drain pears well before adding to the casserole.
