DUTCH OVEN COWBOY POTATOES



10-12 medium potatoes(sliced)
2 onions(diced)
1lb. Bacon(diced)
Salt & pepper(to taste)
1 cup frozen peas
2 cups cheese(grated)



Brown the bacon in dutch oven. When the bacon is finished remove it.(leaving the grease) cook the onions in the bacon grease until lightly brown and tender. Add potatoes and salt and pepper, stir to coat all potatoes evenly. Cook for 35 to 45 minutes turning dutch oven and lid 1/4 turn every 15 minutes. When potatoes are tender stir in peas and bacon and cover with cheese remove bottom coal’s and place 15 coal’s on lid to melt the cheese.
