In the world of egg decorating, we’ve never seen wax-painted eggs before.

Easter is a special holiday with special meaning. As we celebrate, we look to embrace traditions with meaning as well. This inspiration for decorating eggs dates back centuries and serves as a good luck charm or a blessing to those who share them. And, they are beautiful, too.

A common, artful method that comes from eastern Europe – the traditional Pysanky eggs are full of detail and color. Kelly Lonnecker tried her hand at the wax-painted egg, and shared her inspiration and approach to creating them at home using melted crayons.
