Pumpkin Nut Cake

2 cups sugar
1 cup oil
4 eggs
2 cups flour
2 tsp. soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. salt
2 cups pumpkin
1 cup chopped nuts (optional)

1. Mix together sugar, oil and eggs.

2. add remaining ingredients.

3. Bake in ungreased tube pan for 1 hour at 350 degrees or a 9 x 13 inch pan, 50 to 55 min.

Frosting

4 ounces cream cheese

1 cup butter

4 cups powdered sugar

1 cup chopped nuts (optional)

pinch of salt

1. Combine cream cheese, butter and sugar.

2. Beat until smooth
