Push to the Finish

If you’ve ever ran in a race – whether it’s a 5K charity run or a marathon – you know the thrill that comes from crossing the finish line. It brings a feeling of success and accomplishment that is hard to beat. So imagine getting the chance to cross that finish line, even though physically…you aren’t able to walk a single step.

That is the opportunity being afforded hundreds of disabled “runners” each year thanks to the group “Push to the Finish.” Studio 5 Host Brooke Walker shows us the power of this amazing organization.

ABOUT PUSH TO THE FINISH

The mission of Push To The Finish (PTTF) is to provide an opportunity for children with physical disabilities to be able to experience the enjoyment, competition, and sense of accomplishment of participating in a road race. Our catch phrase is “Our Legs, Their Heart.” Push to the Finish was founded in 2012. They are recognized by the State of Utah and the IRS as a non-profit organization. Based, in South Jordan, Utah they participated in 13 races in 2012 and plan to average 12-15 races per year.
