Professional organizer Marie Ricks gives her top ten list of ways to get your fridge organized and keep it that way.

1) Have standard places for milk (shelf), eggs (shelf), vegetables (drawer), fruits (drawer), proteins (drawer).
2) Have shelf which is “eat all you want” (i.e. leftovers).
3) Have shelf which is “don’t touch, please” (tonight’s dinner).
4) Put like items with like items.
5) Put condiments in containers for easier access.
6) Keep place in door for sack lunches, sack lunch items.
7) Rotate new items behind old.
8) Clean out every Saturday evening to keep blues and greens at bay. Serve meal with these leftovers, supplemented with some type of eggs.
9) Wipe down and out just before grocery shopping.
10) Add frozen meats and canned fruits at beginning of week to facilitate them being ready for right meal.
