This little taste of summer will get you excited for the upcoming season.
Chef Todd Leonard shares how to make Tomato Toast.
Toast and Tomatoes
1 Heirloom tomato — cut into 1/4 inch slices
1 slice Sour dough bread
1/2 ounce Arugala
1/4 cup Red onion
1 teaspoon Chef Todd’s Pit Seasoning
2 slices Havarti cheese
2 tablespoons Lemon Vinaigrette
1 tablespoon Balsamic glaze
Slice and season the tomato with the pit seasoning.
Brush olive oil or butter on the sour dough bread and char grill. When you turn the bread over place the cheese on to melt it.
Place the Tomatoes on top of the cheese toast – 4 slices and drizzle the balsamic glaze over the top of that.
In a bowl toss the onions arugala and Lemon Vinaigrette together and top the tomoatoes.
