Everyone wants to look their best and everyone wants to be fashionable, but sometimes the two don’t always mix. One answer is the fashion line designed by Bridgitte Shamy with SexyModest. Bridgitte shares her Sexy Modest look on Studio 5 with the top ten fashion statements for 2007.
Top 10 Fall 2007 Trends
1. Narrow your fall shapes: pair your dresses, coats, vests and skirts with a skinny belt.
2. Supersize your sweaters: Knits with substance stand out as a major trend for fall in the form of oversized cardigans, coats, dresses and chunky pulloevers.
3. Hat’s On: Whether it’s wide-brimmed, pulled low, or little more than a spray, you’ll be wearing a hat. Cover for warmth, or for modeesty, but just cover with something.
4. Dare to Clash: Navy and black reigned supreme; a black belt on a navy dress or visa versa.
5. Take a Shine to Sequins, Metallic and Lace: Subtle splashes of sparkle and lace are a must.
6. Trouser Pants: While the fashion world is not entirely ready to bid the skinny pant a final farewell, sloucy pants are slowly starting to edge it out as the must-have for fall.
7. Swing Jackets: Pair anything with your swing jacket and stay in style.
8. Tights Plan: Opaque tights took off with speed. Black tights and patterned hose are flooding the runway for Fall.
9. Zip it: Exposed zippers are a focal point this season.
10. A Fur Thing: Full length coats, short jackets and trimmed hoods, cuffs and hems. While it used to be reserved for evening ensembles, many of the looks are on the casual side this season.
