The Top Three Lenses

Whether you are a mom with a nice camera, or a small business owner
looking to make some cash on the side, next to your camera, lenses are the
very most important investment.

Photographer Nicole Gerulat shares her three favorite lenses.

THE BEST TRAVEL LENS

The 24-105mm f4 lens ($1149) is a fantastic versatile lens for traveling and
documentary photography like weddings. It’s your go-to one lens for
capturing dynamic wide angle shots and still get great portraits.

THE BEST KID LENS

The 24-70mm f2.8 lens ($1599) is one of my favorite kid lenses because the
zoom makes it easy to follow active children. The lower aperture also helps in
low lighting, for all those daytime indoor shots!

THE BEST PORTRAIT LENS

My 85mm f1.2 ($2049) is my all-time favorite lens because it’s so sharp and
crisp and the background compression (background blur) makes it perfect
for portraits. It’s incredibly pricey so consider the f1.8 or f1.4 as a great
alternative.
