A line-up of popular celebrities and innovative companies featured
throughout the week
The Salt Lake Tribune Home & Garden Festival is set to open its doors and
showcase some of the top television and home network celebrities, local
experts, and over 500 home and garden companies. Festival guests have the
opportunity to attend informative seminars ranging from home renovation to
landscaping to scrumptious recipes and receive a first-hand look at the
market’s latest creations.
NATIONAL TV CELEBRITY GUEST SPEAKERS
Josh Flagg: Thursday, March 8 at 7:00 p.m.
Josh Flagg of Bravo TV’s Million Dollar Listing is an expert in high-end
residential real estate. Although he works exclusively within Los Angeles’
pricey market, his experience has supplied him with valuable knowledge any
homeowner can find useful. Festivalgoers can learn home staging and
designing tips they can use to increase home value.
Bryan Baeumler: Friday, March 9 at 5 p.m.
Bryan Baeumler, host of HGTV’s Disaster DIY, knows home renovation. As a
construction contractor, he focuses on do-it-yourself renovation projects
that are simple and safe for viewers to try on their own. Baeumler joins the
spring festival via SKYPE from Canada to discuss his favorite DIY projects and
answer questions from the audience.
Ahmed Hassan: Saturday, March 10 at 3:30 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.
Sunday, March 11 at 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m.
Ahmed Hassan, host of Yard Crashers on the DIY Network, has the ability to
transform any outdoor space into a stunning landscape. With a little planning
and practice, even the most novice gardener can create and maintain a dream
backyard. Hassan will share his secrets and methods of basic landscaping as
well as answer audience questions.
WHAT’S HOT AT THE HOME & GARDEN FESTIVAL
Outdoor Living – The Spring season is the perfect time to spruce up the yard
and plan out a garden for the summer months ahead. Joy Bossi, radio host of
Joy in the Garden, shares gardening tips with the audience on planting an
edible garden. Guests can also see the latest trends in outdoor living and
gather inspiration from companies like Big Rock Landscaping, Stone Scapes
of Utah, and Decorative Landscape plus see paving by Amcor. Special guest
including Joy Bossi will be on the Green Stage by Xfinity March 8 – 11
Blooming Hope Flower Auction – In its 21st year, the Blooming Hope Flower
Auction returns to the festival to benefit Primary Children’s Medical Center.
Festival guests can support this worthy cause and help others in need by
bidding on beautiful floral arrangements from the design team of Every
Blooming Thing. Join auction emcee Brooke Walker of KSL’s Studio 5 on
Saturday, March 10 from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m.
Kitchen Stage presented by SelectHealth – Simple, nutritious, and delicious
recipes from Chef Bryan Woolley of KUTV’s What’s for Dinner?, Wendy Paul of
101 Gourmet cookbook series, raw food enthusiast Shannon Branson Fuller,
and many more are shared on the Kitchen Stage throughout the weekend.
Guests can pick up cooking tips, learn about the benefits of incorporating
high-quality ingredients into everyday meals, and watch cooking
demonstrations from some of the best. Special guest speakers will be on the
Kitchen Stage March 8 – 11.
