Emily McCormick

Studio 5 Fashion & Style Contributor

Emily received a Bachelor of Art in Communication from Brigham Young University and a Master of Art in Communication from The Ohio State University, where she taught courses in advertising. Emily worked in advertising, marketing and public relations for several agencies before acting on her love of fashion and co-founding the clothing line Shabby Apple.

After selling Shabby, Emily started EBM Consulting, which provides corporate planning and strategy related to content, brand, marketing, event and image to companies from large, publicly-traded corporations to start-ups.

During her time in her consultancy, she has helped oversee the growth and sale of storage.com, the startup and funding of luxury fashion brand Andolsek, marketing and event strategy for Utah's highest revenue company-Extra Space Storage and worked with various companies in the medical, design and architectural fields.

Fashion is still a focus as she currently is the Fashion and Style Editor for KSL Studio 5. Emily has also worked intimately with nonprofits including acting as marketing chair for The American Cancer Society, The Shamba Foundation, Reach Out and Learn-China, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and The Kintu-Uganda Project.

Emily is the mother of five, whom she adores. Her husband, Adam McCormick is an oral and maxillofacial surgeon. In her spare time, Emily enjoys playing with her family, traveling, eating out and walking through beautiful neighborhoods.
