1 C. butter
1 C. sugar
12 oz. chocolate chips, semi sweet or mild chocolate
Line a cookie sheet with foil. Place the crackers, salt side up, in a single layer, touching. Fill the whole cookie sheet. Boil butter and sugar for 3 minutes stirring constantly, but not a rolling boil. Pour over saltines. Bake at 400 for 5 minutes, no more. Sprinkle top with chocolate chips, and place back into oven for about 45 seconds to soften chocolate. Smooth out melted chocolate with a knife or spatula. Chill until firm. Break apart into approx. 2 inch pieces.
