23rd Annual Timpanogos Storytelling Festival
August 30-September 1, 2012
Workshops
Thursday, morning and afternoon

How to:

Use theater techniques to tell stories,
Better communicate with children through stories
Publish a picture book
Put a modern twist on traditional tales

Daytime Festival
Friday and Saturday
10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

With:
Storytelling (in one hour blocks with half hour breaks in between)

During the half hour breaks:
Music
Puppet shows
Making Pottery
Juggling

Two performances from the Princess Festival
Amazing food from local restaurants such as Costa Vida, Magleby’s, Surfefire Pizza, Wallaby’s, Hickory Kist, and Tucanos. Treats from Jamba Juice, Marble Slab Creamery, and Rhodes.

Evening Events —
Thursday, 7:00 p.m. —
“Look Who’s Talking”Mt. Timpanogos Park (5:30 p.m. preshow — The Hot Club of Zion)
Each teller tells a 10-minute story so the audience can get to know who’s here at the Festival!

Friday, 6:30 p.m. —
“Bedtime Stories”Mt. Timpanogos Park (Puppet shows will be their pre-show)
This set is for the younger crowd

Friday, 8:00 p.m. —
“My Favorite Stories”
SCERA Shell (7:00 pre-show — Rob Bennion Band)
Five tellers tell one of their favorite stories.

Friday, 9:00 p.m. —
“Shivers in the Night”Mt. Timpanogos Park
Ghost tales up Provo Canyon — what more can you ask for?

Saturday, 8:00 p.m. —
“Laughin’ Night”SCERA Shell (7:00 p.m. pre-show — The Lower Lights)
Tellers tell their funniest tales

Saturday, 8:00 p.m. —
“The Last Laugh”Mt. Timpanogos Park (7:00 p.m. pre-show — Bittersweet Bluegrass)
Same program as the one at the SCERA with storytellers being shuttled between locations
