Exciting news for your Fablehaven fans!
Fans of the beloved Fablehaven series have something exciting to look forward to.
After a long hiatus, author Brandon Mull is back with a new spin-off series, “The Tales of Newel and Doren.” This new adventure promises to bring fresh excitement and lessons for both old and new readers.
Revisiting Fablehaven
Brandon Mull’s Fablehaven series has captivated millions of readers worldwide. The new series focuses on the satyrs, Newel and Doren, who were originally the comic relief in Fablehaven. “Let’s take the comic relief and see what happens if they have to be the heroes,” said Brandon.
What’s the Book About?
In “The Tales of Newel and Doren,” the satyrs embark on a journey of learning responsibility, mirroring the experiences of middle-grade readers. “Just like they’re on a journey of learning responsibility, the satyrs are on a very similar kind of journey of learning to be a little less selfish, a little more aware,” Brandon explained.
The story includes a road trip to Florida, where the satyrs must confront their fears and worries to obtain information from a magical listening doll. “For satyrs who are always trying to be really tough and pretend like they’re scared of nothing, it’s an interesting challenge to admit that they have fears and worries,” Brandon emphasized.
Fablehaven Movie News
Exciting news for Fablehaven fans: a movie adaptation is in the works with Angel Studios. While previous attempts have not materialized, this project has made significant progress. “Hopefully that means in the next year or two, we’ll see a Fablehaven film,” Brandon said.
Inspiring Young Readers
Brandon emphasized the importance of imagination and creativity for young readers, encouraging them to pursue their dreams of becoming authors. “Having a rich inner life and a strong imagination helps you no matter what you do in life.”
Upcoming Launch Party
To celebrate the release of the new book, a launch party will be held at Cottonwood High School Auditorium in Murray. The event promises to be a fun-filled evening with comedy and costumes. It is a free event. Go to shadowmountain.com to order tickets.
