Over the past few weeks, we’ve showcased how women are transforming Easter into something truly special. Through traditions and creative practices, they’re bringing the essence of Easter to life for their families. One such initiative is the Easter Collective.
The brain behind the project, Jessica Cardwell, explained.
What is the Easter Collective?
Jessica described the Easter Collective as “a guide to celebrating a Christ-centered Easter.” It’s a digital magazine-style collection featuring contributions from over 30 creators and brands. These contributors have pooled their resources to share various ways to incorporate Christ into Easter traditions, ensuring the holiday remains focused on its true meaning.
The Motivation Behind the Collective
A quote from contributor Paige Anderson encapsulates the Collective’s mission: “Make Easter less about the bunny and all about the Lamb.” Jessica explains that this quote reminds us of the holiday’s true essence. She has been seeking ways to integrate Christ more into her family’s Easter celebrations and decided to collaborate with other faith-based social media accounts. The positive response led to the creation of the Easter Collective, which offers diverse content and ideas for a Christ-centered Easter.
Impact on Families
Jessica hopes the Collective will help families balance the fun and sacred aspects of Easter. She acknowledged the challenge many parents face: choosing between a kid-friendly Easter with bunnies and egg hunts or a more reverent, Christ-focused celebration. Jessica believes families shouldn’t have to choose. “We can find creative ways to have the fun traditions and celebrations while keeping Christ at the center,” she said.
