Back to School for Moms

Studio 5 contributor did some research and found some of the great classes that are out there, and some you probably didn’t even know existed.

Continuing Education

Want to give Batik a try? That’s a technique of dyeing fabrics. How about Ikebana? That’s Japanese Flower Arranging. I didn’t know what either of those classes were, but both are offered through Continuing Education at the University of Utah. They’re just two of hundreds. Continuing Education classes at the college or university closest to you is a great place to start. Especially if you want to try something new like, Aerial Dance: Silks and Trapese. Or how about a class where you can learn how to fuse glass from recycables. I’d love to take a brand new class called Private Investigation for Non-Professionals. Wouldn’t that be intriguing?
