Outdoor Lights: The key to bringing more magic to the backyard

Want to spruce up your backyard? Invest in some outdoor lights!

By Lauren Tippetts

We still have a few weeks of warm summer nights left, and August leads right into the mild, fall evenings we love so much. Up the ambiance in your backyard space with a few outdoor lights! There are so many different choices when it comes to lighting. A strand of string lights or some artfully placed deck lights will instantly turn the yard into a magical nighttime space. Here are six ways to light the yard that will make it the favorite place to be.

Waterproof LED Outdoor String Lights, $44.99

This strand of lights is a classic. Drape them through the trees, zig-zag them across the yard, or hang them around the umbrella. These outdoor lights are durable, easy to use, and the Edison bulbs add to their charm.

8 Pack Solar Pathway Lights, $44.74

If you’ve got any kind of pathway in your yard, put some light on it. Not only for function, but for fun! These stick right in the grass, and illuminate the walkway while casting off some cool shadows!

Solar Deck Lights, $36.98

These aren’t your average deck lights. The scalloped edges make them shine in a way that adds some flair! Place them anywhere in your space – along the fence, down some stairs, or along your deck railing. They are solar charging, and change color if you really want to bring the party!

LED Curtain Fairy Lights, $17.84

These curtain lights are truly ethereal. If you have a large structure in your backyard, these outdoor lights are exactly what it needs. Drape them around the edges and wrap yourself in the pretty lights!

Solar Ground Lights, $29.99

Up the “cool factor” of your yard with these pathway spotlights! Stick them directly into the ground and they shine straight up for max level illumination. You can light up a pathway, line part of the yard, or even put them in a flowerbed.

Color Changing String Lights, $179.50

Okay, so have you ever been to Joe’s Crab Shack? It’s a different place to draw decor inspiration from, but the lights they have in their restaurants give off absolutely perfect summer vibes. These lights are the same principle as the first set, but they are color changing! They come with a bit of a price tag, but we’d say it’s worth it if you can swing it!
