Beef Pastries
1 lb. lean ground beef
1 small can mushrooms, undrained
½ c. chopped onions
½ c. chopped celery
3 tablespoons sweet pickle relish
1 can (10 ½ ounces) cream of mushroom soup
1 can (about 10 ounces) beef gravy, or about 1 ½ cups leftover gravy
Pastry for 9-inch two-crust pie


Roll out half of pastry dough and cut out 6 four-inch circles. Combine ground beef, mushrooms, onions, and celery. Cook in frying pan until meat loses its color; drain. Add pickle relish and soup. Place a large scoop of meat mixture in center of each pastry circle.

Roll out remaining pastry and cut out another 6 three-inch circles . Place over meat filling, moisten, and seal edges. Bake at 450 degrees for 15-18 minutes or until golden brown. Serve topped with beef gravy. Makes 6 servings.
