1/2 cup sugar
4 cups milk, or reconstituted stored dried milk**
2-4 slices bread
1 tablespoon butter
1/4 cup raisins
Combine eggs, sugar, and milk. Beat well. Stir in raisins and pour into baking dish. Remove crust from bread, butter and place on top of custard. Sprinkle with nutmeg. Place baking dish in a deeper pan holding water. Water level should be equal to the custard level in baking dish. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Cool before serving. Serve with fresh fruit and garnish with a mint leaf.
