For the third year in a row, Cache Valley® is sponsoring its Signature
Recipe Contest, which will run from September 9 through November 15,
2011. Don’t be intimidated by what kind of recipe to enter. There are
some tips that seasoned contest winners use.
JaNae Herd Worthen has won this contest the previous two years and shares
some of her tips to enter an award winning recipe.

There are no limitations on a recipe submission except that it must contain
a Cache Valley cheese and/or butter product. Recipes may be for any food
category including entrees, appetizers, snacks and desserts.
Join us at the Utah State Fair where Cache Valley will officially kick off the
recipe contest. Two-time winner of the Cache Valley Signature Recipe
Contest, JaNae Herd Worthen, will conduct a cooking demonstration at the
Fair (demonstration kitchen) on Saturday, September 10, at 10 a.m.
Attendees will be able to sample last year’s winning recipe for Creamy
Cheese-Filled Gnocchi in Brown Butter Sage Sauce.
Cache Valley will publish the winning recipe, as well as the 19 other
appetizing dishes that comprise the top 20 recipe entries, in Cache Valley’s
Signature Recipe Contest Cookbook – will be available for purchase starting
in January 2012.For every cookbook that is sold, Cache Valley will donate
$1 to the Utah Food Bank, up to $5,000.
