Sam Spendlove and Liz Welker share their doctored recipe for rice pudding. They share why it’s their absolute favorite, and how the crockpot makes it the easiest dessert ever.

Crockpot Rice Pudding with Pumpkin Spice
Ingredients
- 8 cups Milk
- 1 cup long grain white rice (not instant)
- 1 cup sugar
Directions
Combine ingredients in crockpot, stir well, and cook on low for 6-7 hours, or on high for about 5. The rice will expand to fill the crockpot and will be bite tender when it is ready.
Once it is ready add:
- 1/4 cup half & half
- 3 tbsp. cornstarch
- 9 tbsp. water
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 tsp. Pumpkin Pie Spice (or add more to taste)
- 1/4 tsp. salt
In a small bowl, mix together water and cornstarch until well combined. Pour mixture and all other ingredients in crockpot, stir together, and let cook for another half hour.
