3/4 cup butter or margarine
3/4 cup shortening
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1 1/2 cups packed brown sugar
3 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 box (3.4 oz.) instant vanilla pudding mix*
4 cups flour
3 cups chocolate chips
1 cup nuts, chopped
Cream together butter, shortening, and sugars.
Add eggs and vanilla and beat well.
Combine salt, soda, pudding, and flour and add to creamed ingredients.
Fold in chips and nuts.
Bake at 350 degrees for 12 minutes.
