Don Aslett: Cleaning Your Car from the Inside Out

1. There are 45-square feet of flat surface in a car. Many times more condensed than your home. We spend up to an hour and a half a day, on average, in our cars.

• Imagine, if the doorknobs are the dirtiest place in your house, think of a the handles, knobs, armrests, etc.,—all the places you touch in the car!

• Demonstrate that water alone doesn’t clean. Impress the viewer so they need a real cleaner to really clean!

2. Convenience! People—even children or the laziest of all will clean and declutter IF you make it easy and available.

1. Trash—give it a place. I “pocket” trash and it goes with me to inside container

2. My favorite tools and how to use them:

a. Dust cloth – microfiber or disposable

b. Bottle spray of all-purpose cleaner

c. Towel (not rag) – wet wipe

OUTSIDE

d. Truck brush

e. Wash & Wax

f. Microfiber mitt

g. Microfiber drying cloth

h. Prevent with a vehicle mat!
