Draw out the summer fun! 6 activities to make the memories last

The summer fun doesn’t have to end yet!

Summer break is coming to an end, but what if you still want to squeeze out a few drops of summer and bank a few more warm weather memories?

Melisa Osmond shares a list of summer fun activities to try, taste, and do with the family before summer’s end.

Salt Lake Bees Game

Take me out to the Ball game! Nothing says summer like a baseball game! The Salt Lake Bees are on a huge winning streak! It’s so much fun! The kids loved it and Ryder loved watching the game and getting an autograph from Bumble! It’s so fun on Friday & Saturday nights the kids can go on the field and run the bases! They have great food and super fun gift shop too. So much fun Ryder and Emy tried to catch the fly balls! It’s such a fun family summer activity you are sure to love! Tickets start $13 go up from there.

Bridgerland Adventure Park

If you’re looking for adventure, Bridgerland Adventure Park near Bear Lake and Garden City is the place to go. They have a ropes course, zip line, trampolines, slides, and even axe throwing. It’s a fun-filled day that your kids will love.

Grotto Falls Hike

This is a super fun, short hike with the kids! It’s great for all ages and dog friendly. It is only 0.6 miles round trip, and 20 min to the waterfall. It’s mostly shady, and there’s fun bridges and logs to cross so it’s a little more adventurous! You can play in the waterfall too for a refreshing dip, so wear or bring water shoes & a towel.

If you haven’t tried the fresh peach sundaes at Burgess Orchard in Alpine, you need to. They’re so yummy! They are the perfect summer treat with the kids! This year they have a brand new building and a parking lot in the back. While you’re there grab a box of fresh peaches too! They also have ice cream cones with vanilla or peach soft serve and a Cherry Pie Sundae.

This is a brand new park in Eagle Mountain. It is huge with so many fun playgrounds! It has a Ninja Warrior fitness course, a huge skate park, large playground with towers, slides, climbing toys, and so much more. There are two other playgrounds perfect for smaller kids too. They also have an incredible zip line, huge grassy field for picnics or playing football, swings, and a great covered pavilion. And… bathrooms right there too! It is impressive and worth taking the kids to for a bonus free day of fun!

Location address: 3839 E Smith Ranch Rd, Eagle Mountain

Veyo Pool Resort

Veyo Pool Resort is a hidden gem located just 20 minutes north of St. George. It’s home to a spring-fed natural mineral pool and is completely chlorine-free. It’s been called Hawaii in the desert! With world-class rock climbing, crawdad catching, and the on-site restaurant, Lava Grill, known for its famous Veyo Pie Shakes, they have something fun for everyone to enjoy. The weather is cooler there and it is a local must stop! You can get a canyon access day pass for only $16 and try everything! You can camp there or stay in their historic guest house. It stays open until October.
