Fall Home Show’s “CREATE & TAKE” Projects

Fall Home Show’s “CREATE & TAKE” Projects

The Deseret News Fall Home Show kicks off this week and you don’t need to
get overwhelmed with all the ideas you will encounter. One idea at the
show’s “Create and Take” area will help you stay focused.

Jeanne Wines, artist and Coordinator of the Craft and Hobby Pavilion shows
that idea as well as other fun ideas.

1. Educational Kits for Kids from Total Class Creative

Hands-on activities are a great way to encourage both educational and
developmental growth in children. Add a creative, hands-on element to your
children’s’ early education at the Home Show with a “create and take” puzzle
alphabet kit from the Craft and Hobby Pavilion.

The kit allows your child to create his or her own puzzle to later use as a fun
educational tool. The 82-piece puzzle helps preschool aged children learn
colors, numbers and the alphabet. Children color in the letter and numbers
with markers, and match them up with the coordinating puffy stickers. Once
complete, these puzzles are perfect for flash cards, matching games or other
activities to inspire creative learning.

The kit includes:
8 markers
129 puffy stickers
82 chipboard puzzle pieces

Price $10

2. Do It Yourself Design Studio with Room Spacing Kits from
Canvas Corp

Create your own design studio with this activity from Canvas Corp. These fun
kits allow you to visualize and plan the floor plan, design and décor of a
room all in one place before committing to anything. Perfect for starting from
scratch in a new room, or giving an older one a fresh new look, these kits are
perfect for really “bringing together” any room in your home.

This activity teaches you how to maximize space in a room by planning every
piece of your floor plan before actually buying anything. Not only does this
help avoid moving heavy furniture from one corner of the room to another,
only to learn that it doesn’t really fit, but it can also help you save thousands
of dollars.

This activity also helps you create the most cohesive look for your room by
letting you to pair and compare fabric samples, color swatches and accent
accessories in one easy place. Decorating and design shouldn’t be left to
guesswork—save time and money, and let design be fun, as it should be,
with the “create and take” activity from the Craft & Hobby Pavilion.
