Start planning your Galentine’s party! This flower bar cart is just as lovely as it sounds

Bring all the flowers to your Galentine’s party this year!

You know you’ll feel the love if your girlfriends invite you over for Valentine’s Day. Lately, a new sidekick celebration has emerged around the day of love. We call it Galentines. It’s a small social, meant for female friends.

Whether you’re going, or throwing Galentines this year, you’ll be inspired by Studio 5’s girlfriend party idea: The Flower Bar Cart. Event planners Brooke Carter and Katie Evertsen, of The Loveliest Detail, stop by Studio 5 to give the how-to.

A Flower Cart Galentine’s Party Concept

Invite your friends over for socializing, hors d’oeuvres, and send them home with a small paper-wrapped bouquet of fresh flowers from your Flower Bar.

Instead of a large floral cart, anchor your flower bar on any white side table, dresser, or nightstand. Style it a bit by opening the drawers and adding Valentine accessories.

Top the white side table with a couple of flower buckets filled with fresh blooms. You’ll need about three roses for each guest, plus two sprigs of greens each.

If you can, add some red and pink balloons. Make them spill down the cart and onto the floor. A few specialty balloons like hearts or lips would make a fun accent.

Set a separate small table as a flower wrapping station. Stock it with good scissors (we love the gold ones) and square sheets of brown kraft paper. Offer some great ribbon and maybe a special dangle accent, like dollar store chipboard hearts, spray-painted gold.

Add signage. Use a chalkboard or sandwich board or even poster board to write the message: “Make a bouquet to take on your way.”

That’s it! You’ll have a fun flower bar that will delight your guests.
