Frame TV, without the price tag! The DIY is an easy afternoon project

You can have a frame TV without buying one!

Turn your television into a part of your room decor! With a simple DIY and a unique product, you can transform your TV with a frame to make it feel like a piece of art.

NataLee Callahan, of Designed to the Nines, shares how you can have the look of an art TV without the price. She’s created a DIY frame that is both easy and inexpensive!

Instruction Overview

Where most tutorials use wood molding, NataLee used a unique flexible molding that had a lot of detail and was easy to work with.

Add the molding to wood strips to create a sturdy frame and miter cut the edges. Use one long and one short piece as templates to cut the other sides to keep the measurements accurate.

NataLee likes to use Power Grab and nail gun with clamps to glue it all together.

Another important detail is drilling a hole for the TV sensor. Measure the exact location and make the cut with a drill bit.

Paint as desired. You can make it any color you want. NataLee used black and a mix of gold spray paints to give it a patina finish.

Add elastic bands to the back of the frame to slide over each side of the TV. It’s an easy afternoon project that elevates the look of the TV.
