Next Station: Paris

For a couple that likes games with a little more strategy and thinking, you can’t go wrong with Next Station: Paris. Paris is the city of love, and if you can’t go there in person, at least you can build some metro lines around the city. You’re trying to build four Metro lines that connect the city and visit the best tourist spots in the City of Love. You earn points for building the best lines.

Wilmot’s Warehouse

This is a game where you are working together to create a story that will help you remember 35 random pictures and how they fit together. It’s a creative concept and you have to work together. Is that swirl a cinnamon roll? And it’s on top of the cone which must be a mountain. By the time you have placed 35 tiles upside down on the grid, you then have to remember what pictures were where, thanks to your creative story. This could also be played as a larger group.

Bears and Bees

What’s sweeter on Valentine’s Day than honey and flowers? This is a Grandpa Beck’s game where you are building a giant honeycomb grid. You have to match color sides and toss in some flowers from time to time. Play your cards and avoid the bears. The first person to get rid of their cards wins. This can also be played in a larger group, but it’s one of my favorite games to play just with my Valentine and me (as long as she doesn’t beat me).

The Chocolate Fix

This is perfect for Valentine’s Day. It involves a box of chocolates and it’s calorie free! This is a puzzle game that is kind of like Sudoku and a box of chocolates. You get a series of clues and have to determine where all the pink, brown, and white chocolates go in the puzzle. It’s perfect for Valentine’s Day, but can also be played any time of year. For people who love Sudoku or any kind of puzzles, this hits the spot.

Hearts of Attraction

This is a fun game with 24 super magnetic hearts. You place them out on the table and then toss or flick one across the surface hoping to pick up as many hearts as possible. You take turns and whoever has the most hearts at the end is the winner. This is a fun two person game, but could also be played with a family. And, it’s great for Valentine’s since they are heart shaped.
