Garbett Homes Helps Make a Wish Come True

Katherine Fife and 10-year old Chantrill with the Make-A-Wish Foundation stop by Studio 5 to share their story.

Chantrill wished for a bedroom makeover. Garbett homes was happy to step in a make her wish come true. On wish day, the excitement grew as family and friends counted down to the unveiling. Three…Two… One! Chantrill opened the door with a huge smile on her face. She covered her mouth and walked around the room full of wonder.

Chantrill received a bed, dresser, desk, TV, Wii, and accessories as part of her room makeover. Garbett homes designed a room that represented many of Chantrill’s passions. She loves to read, write songs, listen to country music, draw and hang out with friends. Her new room was a perfect fit.

While staying at Primary Children’s Medical Center, the staff had helped Chantrill with a song she had written. They wrote some music to go with her lyrics that she wrote. The staff played the song while Chantrill sang. They videotaped their performance, and it was playing on Chantrill’s new TV when her room was revealed. Her wish was truly special and will bring joy to her as she copes with a difficult illness for years to come.
