Girl Scouts Of Utah International Women’s Day

Alexis Cairo, volunteer co-chair talks about the 5th Annual International Women’s Day sponsored by the Girl Scouts of Utah.

Juliette Gordon Low, an enthusiastic traveler, had friends around the globe. One of these friends introduced her to Girl Guiding. Sensing immediately that girls in the United States would benefit from the sort of experiences in which Girl Guides participated, Juliette founded Girl Scouts of the USA in 1912. While nurturing and expanding Girl Scouting in the United States, Juliette also remained committed to a global sisterhood.
