Great-Tasting Granola
8 cups old-fashioned rolled oats
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup wheat germ
1.2 cup canola or olive oil
1 cup cold water
1 tablespoon vanilla
1 teaspoon salt
Cinnamon for sprinkling


Preheat the oven to 250 degrees. Mix the oil, water, vanilla and salt together in a large bowl. Then add the oats, brown sugar and wheat germ and mix thoroughly. Cover a large baking sheet with aluminum foil. Pour the mixture onto the baking sheet and sprinkle with cinnamon (optional). Bake for 50 minutes if you like it softer or 60 minutes if you like it crunchier. Stir the mixture after 30 minutes.
