Ham Brochetta

1 cup leftover Christmas ham, finely diced
1 cup "grape skin" cherry tomatoes
2 tablespoons fresh basil, shredded
1 cloves garlic, crushed
2 tablespoons fresh Italian parsley, chopped
2 tablespoons red onion, chopped
1 tablespoon fresh chives, diced
2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
salt and pepper to taste
8 1/4" Crostini slices
4 tablespoons fresh Parmesan, grated

Combine olive oil and garlic. Lightly brush one side of each Crostini with mixture. Toast underneath broiler until golden brown, approximately one to two minutes. Take remaining garlic mixture, place in heavy sauté pan over medium high heat. Add onions, sauté for one minute. Add tomatoes and ham, half the basil, half the parsley and sauté for one to two minutes. Add remaining ingredients and spoon over Crostini. Serve piping hot.
