Herb Rolls
5-6 cups flour
4 Tbs. Sugar
1 tsp. Salt
2 packages Fleischmann’s yeast
1/2 cup powdered milk
2 1/2 cup water
1/4 cup margarine (melted)


Put 2 cups flour, sugar, salt, powdered milk, and undissolved yeast in a bowl. Stir. to mix.

Add 2 1/2 cup very warm water (approx. 120 degrees) along with melted margarine to flour mixture.

Mix with mixer (dough hook) about two minutes. Add remaining flour 1/2 cup at a time until dough clings to hook and clean sides of bowl. Continue mixing about 5 more minutes (or if kids are helping, knead by hand 5 minutes.)

Place in greased bowl. Turn to coat both sides with oil. Let rise 20 minutes.

Once risen, roll out to 1/2 inch in a large rectangle. Top rectangle with half of the butter mixture then sprinkle with 3/4 cup grated cheddar cheese on top. Roll like cinnamon rolls, cut, then place on pan. Coat with remaining butter. Let rise until double in bulk. Bake at 425 degrees for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown.

1/2 cup melted margarine
2 tsp. Rosemary
2 tsp. Oregano
1 tsp. Lemon Pepper salt
1/2 tsp. Garlic salt
