2025 Home Decor Trends: 7 pieces you can probably pull out of your cupboards right now

These home decor trends are easy to incorporate into your existing style!

You are hearing it here first. We are sharing this year’s top home decor accessory trends making the mark in the design world. Every year, expos are held across the country where brands connect with buyers and designers to set the scene for what will be the style in this current year.

It’s essentially an opportunity for insiders to stay ahead of the trends, and Designer Sarah Grover shared what she found at three different expos.

Sarah emphasized keeping trends accessible. “ I really like to keep an eye on trends that we can easily switch out in our home for the realistic female,” she said. She focused on trends that can be easily incorporated into your existing decor without a lot of effort or expense.

Blue Accents

One of the standout trends is the use of blue accents. “ Usually we see a color that’s really on trend for the year, and we really saw blue everywhere,” Sarah noted. “ Blue accents galore.”

Blue is a versatile color, and can be seamlessly integrated into various decor styles. “ It’s still considered a neutral,” Sarah emphasized. “It goes with everything.” Some pretty options she mentioned were candlestick holders, vases, table runners, and bowls.

Marble and Travertine

Marble and travertine are making a big impact in the design world. “ Marble has kind of been sneaking in, but we really saw a lot more, especially in different kind of pieces,” Sarah observed.

Accessories like Lazy Susans and marble bookends add a touch of luxury without overwhelming your space. “ Bringing in some small marble pieces… is perfect because marble can be a little pricey,” Sarah said. “Just bring in some small pieces and you’ve refreshed your space with something besides just your old ceramic pieces.”

You can also mix different marble colors. “ You can mix the whites with the tans. I’ve even seen some really gorgeous red marbles,” Sarah explained.

LED Candlesticks

A surprising trend is the rise of LED candlesticks beyond the holiday season. “ It was everywhere for spring and summer, and in pretty colors like pink and the greens,” Sarah described.

Look for realistic looking ones that have a melted wax look. “ It’s not perfectly smooth. It looks melted. It looks real,” Sarah explained. She also likes the options that have a timer.

These upscale pieces look great in a casual application. “ This is an elegant piece, but… we really saw it in a casual setting,” Sarah said. “candlesticks have been hot for a while, but let’s get some LED candlesticks to put in those candle holders that you may already have.”

Floral Antique Prints

Floral antique prints on vases are also trending. “ The classic blue pattern has been around for a minute, but we really saw it in different colors,” Sarah said.

These pieces, often in terracotta or ceramic vases, can be styled alone or with stems. “ If you were to just… plop this beauty right on a shelf, gorgeous,” Sarah described.

When pairing vases, Sarah said you can pair the same prints together, but stick with the same color. “ I would pair the same print, but I wouldn’t necessarily pair my blue with green,” she explained. “Maybe it could be in the same room, but not side by side.”

Glass Decor

Glass decor, including cloches and trays, is another trend to watch. “Glass vases have been around for a while, but what we really saw a lot of was… glass cloches, glass trays,” Sarah noted.

“We’re not talking about just clear glass, but greens, blush, turquoise,” Sarah described. “It’s really fun to bring in that pop of color with glass rather than just having it be clear.”

Don’t forget your glass vases. You can style them alone or with stems. “ Very on trend and a very timeless piece,” Sarah emphasized. “You probably already have a lot of glass pieces around your house that maybe you’ve tucked away. Bring those out, bring them back in. They’re having a moment.”

Faux Florals

Faux florals are always a staple, but this year they are looking a little different. “ Those are always big, but this year we saw a lot more structural pieces,” Sarah explained. “So not just your straight stem, but something that has a little more wave to them… a little bend, some bright colors.”

Art

“ If you do not have art in your rooms, and on your shelves, and on your coffee table, and in your kitchen, you’re missing out,” Sarah emphasized. “It is a timeless piece to invest in.” Art doesn’t just have to live on the wall. Incorporating art in various forms, from small pieces on easels to large canvases, is a great way to add some warmth.
