How To Cook Lobster


1 to 1 ¼ live Maine lobster
¾ to 1 gallon boiling water
butter, melted


Place lobster in boiling water and cook for 7 to 8 minutes. Remove from water and using a pair of lobster crackers, crack the tail and claw. Serve with melted butter.
Maine Lobster Tails
4 3-4 ounce Maine lobster tails
2 tablespoons butter
1 teaspoon garlic, chopped
1 teaspoon parsley, chopped
juice of ½ lemon
1 teaspoon Parmesan cheese, grated


Cut the tails down the middle and pull the lobster meat about 60% out of the shell, then place back inside the shell.

In a small sauce pan, heat butter and add garlic. Cook for one minute. Remove from heat and add lemon and parsley.

Place lobster under the broiler about 5 to 6 inches from the top of the oven, shell side up, and cook for 2 minutes. Turn and brush with garlic butter and cook for 2 more minutes. Sprinkle with Parmesan and cook for one more minute. Serve immediately.
