LifeLine Helps Families

Parents know how stressful it can be raising teens, especially teens who are acting out!

Clinical Director, Dan Scholz, with Lifeline, says if parents want to help their kids, it’s important to take of themselves first!

Since 1990, the LifeLine for Youth program has brought hope and healing to thousands of families suffering from substance abuse, depression, family relationship problems, criminal behavior, school problems, pornography, out-of-control and other destructive behaviors that prevent youth from being happy and successful. We help both teens and their families make positive changes for life.

LifeLine’s slogan is “When Good Kids Make Bad Choices”. We really are treating good teens that are making bad choices and what else we know is that when good kids make bad choices there are reasons why. It’s easy to criticize what we don’t understand; teens that are negatively acting out have a story.

At LifeLine for Youth, we provide a psychiatric evaluation, psychological testing (MMPI-A, Beck Depression Inventory, Mental Status Exam) a psychosocial history, and a complete lab workup (CMP, routine and microscopic urinalysis, pregnancy test, thyroid battery, and drug screen). Ralph W. Knapp, MD, Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist, provides evaluations and medication management.
