Living decor! Hang a flower-filled Easter basket on your door this holiday

Hanging an Easter basket on your door is a unique way to decorate for the holiday.

We’ve spotted a new trend for your front door. It’s a little different, a little daring – in place of a wreath…a basket. We’re taking it up a notch for the upcoming holiday.

Decorator Cami Archer shares how to hang an Easter basket on your door, and the ins and outs of this door trend. It’s filled with everything you need to welcome your guests this Easter season. This is a unique way to display an Easter basket on your front door filled with real spring flowers, a bird’s nest, and eggs. She shares what basket to use and how to water the flowers inside.

Cami also shows us Easter baskets inspired by nature. This is one that kids can get as involved. She filled wicker baskets with real micro greens, wheat grass, real spring flowers, and brown bunnies. There are a lot variations you can add to get layering within the basket.

One variation is to add a plaster of Paris chocolate bunnies. It’s straightforward with a mold and again a great craft to do with kids and grandkids. They can help paint and dress up the bunnies. It’s a nice variation because it’s not melting and not being eaten. Another option is using a cloche to give it a memorable and upscale look.
