6 All-Abilities Parks in Utah

Let’s talk about all abilities parks. These parks are a game-changer because they’re designed to be inclusive for children of all abilities. They go above and beyond to create a welcoming and fun environment for everyone, including those in wheelchairs and kids with sensory issues. Utah is embracing the concept, and these parks are popping up all over the state.

Thunder Junction

Starting down south in St. George, we have Thunder Junction. This park is a paradise for kids, with a splash pad, a music area, a zip line, and even a train that goes around the entire park. It’s an immersive experience that guarantees endless fun for your little adventurers.

Adventure Heights All Abilities Park

In Spanish Fork, you’ll find Adventure Heights All Abilities Park. Although Lori hasn’t personally been there yet, it’s high on her bucket list. One of the highlights is the variety of slides with different textures and bumps. These slides provide a unique sensory experience for kids with special needs. Plus, there’s a fabulous splash pad area for water play.

Harvey Park

Moving on to Cedar Hills, Harvey Park steals the show. It’s a spaceship-themed wonderland with striking blue ground, making it stand out from other parks. The tallest and largest structure among all abilities parks in Utah can be found here. It’s perfect for climbing and exploring. There’s even a basketball area and pickleball courts for some friendly competition.

Draper Unity Playground

If you’re in Draper, don’t miss out on the Draper Unity Playground. It may not have a water feature, but it compensates with the longest and tallest slides in the state. The thrilling ride down these slides will leave your kids wanting more. Prepare for laughter and excitement as you conquer these towering slides together.

Chloe’s Sunshine Playground

Chloe’s Sunshine Playground in Syracuse offers a unique water feature to beat the summer heat. It’s a popular park, so be prepared for a lively atmosphere. With designated areas for different age groups, this park ensures that kids of all ages can have a great time. Pack a lunch and snacks because you’ll want to stay here for hours.

Whittier Community Center Adventure Playground

Let’s not forget about the Whittier Community Center Adventure Playground in Logan. This recently renovated park is perfect for an epic day trip with your family. Explore the playground, play hide and seek, and create memories that will last a lifetime.

All of these parks are free to enter, making them even more attractive for a fun-filled family outing. So why not plan a visit to one of these amazing all abilities parks before summer slips away?
